Hong Kong Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture

2019 Hong Kong Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture organised by The Hong Kong Institute of Architects Biennale Foundation (HKIABF) in association with The Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA), The Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP) and Hong Kong Designers Association (HKDA) as co-organisers and Create Hong Kong of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as the lead sponsor, open from 19 December 2019 until 21 March 2020 with the aim of creating an environment for creative exchange and urbanist advocacy for the urban planners, professionals and the general public.


Themed under “2x2: Imagine to Innovate”, the exhibition’s Chief Curator Mr Roger Wu, Co-curators Mr Alan Cheung, Ms Sarah Mui, as well as a team of international curatorial advisors, have invited over 60 local and overseas exhibitors to imagine and envision the limitless possibilities of the city’s future.

The 2019 Hong Kong Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture is held mainly at The Mills, a local cultural hotspot in Tsuen Wan, featuring a curated showcase of inspiring creative works and cross-disciplinary interactive exhibits. A series of engaging community programmes such as workshops, symposiums, guided tours and more will also take place.
